Solo and I watched this the other day. Definitely an Anime film worth seeing- amazing battle scenes. However, lemme know if you understand the plot within the first 5 minutes, cuz I surely didn't. I will say this though, Anime is amazing cuz they storyboard stuff out like an actual movie with few transitional shots. Cool to watch, hard to follow. Four tomatas.
Check out this error message I got while trying to book a flight on JetBlue. It reads:

Felt the need to come out of my hole to recognize what an amazing day this has been. Been home watching President Barack Obama get sworn in as our 44th president. Seriously people, if there's any reason to get emotional right now, this is it. Twelve years ago today, I was in Washington DC at Bill Clinton's inauguration. But the patriotism I felt today far surpasses meeting Al Gore, attending the inaugural ball AND seeing Peter, Paul and Mary. There's nothing like the feeling that big things are about to happen. God bless America and the new first family.

High five to Paste Magazine for being the first to make a pretty user-friendly version of Shep's art (you've gotta have Flash 10 to create your own). Go to their site HERE, upload a photo or take a webcam shot, and BADOW!, you too can be Obamiconned (I just made up that word...you'll use it, believe me).

Headline on msnbc.com this past Thurs. 1/8/09:
Great article in the NYT today about the "death" of Polaroid film. Hopefully you'll think twice now when I shove my Polaroid in your face and hand you the shot. Essentially, I'm handing you a piece of history...that's gotta be worth something, right? Read the article HERE.

Pantone has named their Pantone 14-0848 Mimosa, the color of the year for 2009. Yuck. Last time I ordered a mimosa, the color was more of an orangy hue. Either way, both are fug.
