Awww

Great shot of Brad with his 2 thumbsuckers. Ya, we're on a first name basis.

As for me, make mine tea!

This thing is so damn cute. The only obnoxious thing is that I can't figure out where to actually purchase one! This stupid website features it but you can't actually BUY anything on the site! FUCKERS.

Grrr

Poor Tiger. Guy's gettin' so much slack for having an affair. Maybe if Elin had paid attention, she coulda done something about it before he strayed! Maybe she shoulda gone down on him more often? I hear he's kinda crazy in the sack. Maybe she shoulda kept her career going? Who knows. The heart wants what the heart wants right?

At the end of the day, let's not forget one thing: TIGER IS AN AMAZING GOLFER. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING else should matter. What he does in his personal life is his business. He doesn't bring it onto the golf course, and neither should we. I personally am psyched for his return to the grass...

P&G, I don't hate you today

It's been awhile since I've worked on P&G. But I can honestly say that this may be the best commercial they'll ever come up with.

LOST

Episode 604, The Substitute

I'm finally starting to get frustrated. Here are my questions after this episode:

-Why did Jacob write all those names on the cave walls? If Flocke (aka the smoke monster) ended up dying, who would have succeeded HIM? How come we never saw Jacob trying to kill Flocke? He didn't even try to fight him off! Why wasn't he trying to eliminate Flocke as hard as Flocke was trying to do to him?
-How come Flocke can get off the island now? How's he gonna do it if he couldn't before? And why does he need Sawyer to help? He's already got a body, why does he need another one? Why the hell does Sawyer wanna go back to reality? He's got nothing there OR on the island!
-How come Flocke didn't turn into smoke when he raced after the kid? How the hell DOES he turn into smoke anyway? Who the hell is that kid anyway??
-What the fuck is the point of all the Egyptian shit?
-How did Sayid get "poisoned?" He was never touched by anything other than a bullet. Did the water in the temple poison him?? Why are people saying he's possessed by Jacob now? He's not dead- his name was on the wall. Why wasn't Kate's name on the cave wall?!?!
-if Flocke is the smoke monster, and the REAL Locke is dead- how come he's using locke's catch phrases "Don't tell me what I can't do?!!?

I don't miss the heartbreak

I looked into the room nervous and feeling like a voyeur. I was invited into his private space and wished i could move through time to touch all that he is, was, and wanted to be. To pull the sheet away from his eyes, his shoulders yelling for attention, listless. The time i knew not of, only that the light shining through made him more desirable. Wanting to touch through the screen, kissing the nerves, melting into the fur. In darkness his smile made me quiver wanting to be his. Beauty that only placid oak trees know of, he wanted me back. The fortunate gaze held my attention for what seemed like minutes, acrued into hours. If only I were in the room with him, sitting by his side, holding his hand, touching his thigh.

Reading his eyes, the heart flutter when I saw them looking at my mouth wanting to taste the sweet mint of hunger. That moment when there is only a puff of air between ravage and passion our mouths could collide. The second where you're unsure of what you're doing, knowing only that the moment is but short and unaffected. Like father time couldn't have planned a better instance where human touch, makes puzzle pieces fit together. That our lips could have locked and only separated when primal urge made them curious for more. When the bore of tongues roaming makes inquisitive minds wonder, wander, worry about how much more there really was. In my dreams a second like that couldn't make heaven look any better...

Inspiration

When I was in junior high, I went through a really rough patch with my family. One night my Uncle Kenny swooped in and took me for a drive. He introduced me to Enya and said that whenever he needed to relax or think, Enya chilled him out. Around that time, I discovered Sade. I wasn't necessarily sold on the chill at the time- I was going through the '90's grunge Pearl Jam phase. However, listening to her made me wanna write. And so began my relationship with Sade.

I still write my best stuff when I listen to Sade. She relaxes me. I couldn't be more psyched about this album coming out. It makes me feel like everything's gonna be alright.

I did it all for love

Valentine's Day is coming up and for the first time in about 5 years, I know he won't be thinking about me or calling me or wanting anything to do with me. Dear John really fucked me up- it made me realize that our love affair is finally over. Either way, it's gonna be a tough week. Please let me get over this as quickly.

This site doesn't help DropEverythingforLove.com. Once again, advertising got the best of me. Word of advice: DON'T KEEP IT UP AS YOUR BACKGROUND MUSIC UNLESS YOU WANNA CRY.

I've returned

I often find myself abandoning my blog for a different fix. Maybe it's that Spring's coming. Maybe it's that the love I once had is now no more. Maybe it's that I'm ready for a life-altering change. Whatever the reason, I'm ready to write again. There's a lot I've got to say and I'm not sure how to express it; whether it be via blog, via Twitter, or via novel, but it WILL come out. Stay tuned...

Ya, I'd have his babies...

Check it. Channing Tatum has started a website called PostTheLove.com. Now, normally, I think the celebrity website launch thing is kinda bullshit, but he makes a valid point here: We don't tell the people we love how much we love them...enough. So, I wholly endorse this site and think it's a beautiful thing.

Love lost

If you've ever fallen in love and couldn't be together with that person, Dear John is a definite must-see. I'm not saying it's the most amazing movie ever produced, but the casting is superb and as my friend Katie said, "it's porn for girls". The theater was packed with sobbing chicks and I blame it all on Channing Tatum. The guy is absolutely gorgeous and he pretty much says and does what every girl wishes to experience. It's a story of love in its purest form, and I can't wait to read Nicholas Sparks' book. It's been a long time since I've cried at a book, but if the book is better than the movie, (which it usually is), I'll be bawling my eyes out. Not only that, but I will definitely be seeing the movie again. I mean shit, if it was able to knock Avatar out of being the #1 the box office, it can't suck that hard, right? Check out more about the movie here.

I'ma be me

Dearest Blogosphere-
Been going through some shit lately and I'm thinking of making a drastic move for the betterment of mankind. I'm thinking of joining the Peace Corps. I'm not strong enough physically to join the actual armed forces and my knee would never survive boot camp, but mentally, I think I'm ready for a big change. Despite my hopes and dreams of being the world's best sniper, I think the Peace Corps might be it for me.

For years I've been convinced that nothing in life will ever surpass my love for advertising. I've lived and breathed it so much so, that even in interviews when they've asked what I do in my spare time, I can't think of anything to say other than how much I love the industry. That's when they either think I'm pathetic, or that I'm kissing ass. I guess both have been kind of true.

I've fallen in and out of love with people who work right beside me. I've had love/hate relationships with the work I've created. But in this industry either you're a big deal, or your not. I've devoted my whole life thus far to be a big deal and I fear that I've become a big deal more in the social aspect of it than the work aspect. No matter how hard I seem to try, I just can't seem to get a break. And I've been OK with that for all this time. All that's mattered to me is that when I wake up in the morning, I want to be psyched I'm going to work to a place I love. Sure, there have been on and off days, but there's nothing I do on a daily basis that I can truly be proud of. There's always someone right beside you to steal your thunder; someone above you to take the credit; and/or someone who crushes your hopes of doing something truly great. I'm getting tired of hoping that one day someone I'll get that dream job or that someone will let me do what I'm best at.

I don't want to feel like I constantly need to prove myself, or that my ideas are actually pretty smart. There are people who have it or they don't. For the past couple of years, I've worked with many who've somehow convinced the world that they have it, while I slip through the cracks. It's a terrible way to live. I don't want to be surrounded by people who don't know what I'm capable of or won't give me a chance to show them- hell, I shouldn't HAVE to. I KNOW I have it. I don't need them to tell me I'm creative, I know I am!

And so, this brings me to the Peace Corps. I want to wake up and be psyched about my job again. I wanna know that what I'm doing is TRULY helping people. I don't want to compete with the person next to me for a good idea- I want to applaud them, to show them that not everything is about who wins or loses. I wanna hear good ideas about how to make life better and actually follow through with them- without a malicious, jealous thought running through my mind. I want to be good again and I want to surround myself with people who want the same.

Wow.

It happens very rarely that I actually agree with every word written by an artist, but after seeing the Grammys and Lady Antebellum's performance, I can honestly say that these lyrics are magic. I couldn't have written them better if I were drunk.

Need You Now
Picture perfect memories scattered all around the floor
Reachin for the phone cause I can't fight it anymore
And I wonder if I ever crossed your mind
For me it happens all the time

It's a quarter after one, I'm all alone and I need you now
Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now
And I don't know how I can do without
I just need you now

Another shot of whiskey can't stop looking at the door
Wishing you'd come sweeping in the way you did before
And I wonder if I ever cross your mind
For me it happens all the time

It's a quarter after one, I'm a little drunk and I need you now
Said I wouldn't call but I lost all control and I need you now
And I don't know how I can do without
I just need you now

Guess I'd rather hurt than feel nothin at all

It's a quarter after one I'm all alone and I need you now

And I said I wouldn't call but I'm a little drunk and I need you now

And I don't know how I can do without

I just need you now

I just need you now

Ooo, baby, I need you now

-Lady Antebellum
