A Sex in the City moment

He flirts. You flirt back. Non-stop for 2 weeks. At what point is it acceptable to question intention? I mean at some point, you open yourself up to vulnerability. So, is it wrong to visit that "dark place" and ask if there's any sincerity in the flirting within 2 weeks of knowing someone? Or is that just weird?
